This weekend is set out to be one crazy ride as Future music takes over the city of Sydney. With so much going on we thought we would take a brief look at the official after-party’s, so when you are fried out of your brain come 10pm Saturday, your next move would have already been decided on.
Vamp Music Presents: Flux Pavilion, Porter Robinson and Kill The Noise @ the Arthouse.
If you have taken notice to dance music that has been booming over the last 2 years, then these three names will not be unfamiliar. All of them are pushing boundaries in the genre that I like to call ‘FUCK YOU’. “Fuck you electro, fuck you dubstep and fuck you breaks, I’m going to steal from you all, take things further and make whatever I want” says the monster genre. Vamp Music has stood close to this style so I am certain this event will be held to perfection and shit gone get cwwaaayyzzzyyyyy.
Chase & Status, Zane Lowe and Ian Pooley @ Chinese Laundry.
One of the best run nights in Australia delivers again! Heavy weights Chase & Status, who just won best live act and album at the annual drum’n'bass awards, cram into Laundry…..JESUSSSSSS!!! (I’m sure Zane Lowe is happy about it too, C & S is one of the 4 people he is following on soundcloud hahaha!) Zane Lowe is a class act dj/radio host from the UK whose set will most certainly take things to another level. Then we have Ian Pooley, dominiating the House/Deep House style for years, he will certainly deliver a monstrous set that takes you from one place to another, perfect for many of the guys that want to keep on strolling through the night.
The Usual Suspects Presents: Alex Metric & Tonic @ Soho.
In my personal opinion, Alex Metric is one of the most well rounded, collected producers of electronic music. His visions come to life, which is every artists dream. He has direction, ambition and most importantly….knows how to get a party rockin! His house grooves will be sure to please a wide scope of people down at Soho and I think everyone is in for a show. Then you throw in Tonic to support and you have the crowd jizzing all over the place.
All in all, this weekend looks like a treat for us, Sydney, and we have Future music to thank for it. No matter where you end up have a great one, stay safe and hopefully I’m alive to chat with you come Monday.
